I'm sure one of the reasons parents send their children to Australia is because it's the closest white nation to most of us in Asia. Maybe the fees are also lower...? However, Yin Bin (and thank you for visiting, btw), it's a mite dangerous coming to conclusions regarding Australia if you've never been there. My own experiences are based on more than two decades living in the country and so my opinions are quite firm.

As for the awareness-raising campaign, it's as a friend of mine says: you can lead a horse to water, but you can't make it play cards. If the situation in Australia doesn't improve, I'm sure concerned parents will find out all by themselves how things are. And, if the reason they're choosing Australia is because of the cost and proximity, then I doubt you're going to change their minds. People make decisions for a myriad of reasons, the vast majority of which we're not privy to.

I've always wondered why every year tons of students from Asia are still pouring into Australia for higher education, not knowing what's ahead for them. Perhaps we need to start some kind of campaign in Asian countries to get people informed about how Asians are treated in Australia. I myself have never been to Australia. But I have heard enough bad tales to know that that is the country I will *never* set my foot on in my life time. But let's get the word out. More Asian people need to know, before they empty their savings to go to Australia only to be treated like dirt.
Would you be interested in starting a kind of awareness-raising campaign?
